Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC) establish
the first global bio-PET integrated supply chain including
* procurement of bio-ethanol
* production of bio-mono ethylene glycol
* tolling business of PET
* marketing of bio-PET
TTC's sustainable business ideas
* Toyota Tsusho will handle bio-plastics as sustainable material
and will reduce to use fossil fuel
and not use food material for industrial purpose
* Toyota Tsusho will try to increase the demand of such a
sustainable material in the World
Supply chain management for Bio-PET resins production
Totota Tsusho and China Man-Made Fiber Corp (CMFC)
signed the joint venture agreement for establishment of
bio-mono ethylene glycol producer to establish
Greencol Taiwana Corp. (GTC)
based in Kaoshiung, Taiwan with
Bio-MEG production capacity of 100,000 MT per year.
GTC will be established in October 2010 and
start the commercial operation from end of 2011.
GTC will use bio-ethanol made by sugar cane as feed stock
This ethanol will be secured by Toyota Tsusho from Brazil
Toyota Tsusho will handle all bio-MEG from GTC and
supply bio-MEG to PET manufacturer and
offtake bio-PET from them as tolling basis and
will sell the bio-PET to end users
in Japan, Europe and the United States.
