INEOS delivers on ten day promise and begins
UK production of one million bottles

Dow (NYSE: DOW) today announced that
Auburn, Michigan; South Charleston, West Virginia;
Seneffe, Belgium; and Hortolândia, Brazil
possess the necessary raw material handling,
mixing and packaging capabilities
and will produce hand sanitizer.
These locations join Dow’s site
which already produced hand sanitizer
Dow’s collective output is expected
to reach more than 440,000 pounds
or the equivalent of more than

BASF announced today the commercial launch of
Fourtune™ which is
a new Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) catalyst product
for gasoil feedstock.
Fourtune is the latest product based on
BASF’s Multiple Framework Topology
(MFT) technology. It has been optimized to deliver
superior butylene over propylene selectivity
while maintaining catalyst activity and performance.

for an Enterprise Value of £4.2 billion.

Honeywell UOP announced today that
Zhejiang Petrochemical Co. Ltd. (ZPC)
will use four Honeywell UOP Polybed™
pressure swing adsorption (PSA) units
to supply high-purity hydrogen
an integrated refining and petrochemical complex
in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province.
The complex is one of several new large
industrial sites that are part of China’s
current national economic development plan.
Zhejiang Petrochemical earlier awarded
petrochemical process technology licensing,
engineering design and catalysts
for the first two phases of the project
When completed, the new plant will be
the largest crude-to-chemicals complex in China
and one of the largest in the world, manufacturing
petrochemicals to make plastic resins,
films and fibers, as well as fuels..
The Zhoushan facility is the largest
integrated refining and petrochemicals project
in the world.
It includes two complexes, together containing
* two UOP VGO Unicracking units with
a total capacity of 8 million metric tons per year
(mmta), and
* two diesel Unicracking units
with a total capacity of 7 mmta.
The complexes also include
* RCD Unionfining and RFCC units,
each with a capacity of 5 mmta,
* four CCR Platforming units
with a total capacity of 15.2 mmta,
* a Butamer unit with a 400 kmta fresh feed rate,
* four LD Parex trains with a total capacity of 8.8 mmta,
* and a C3 Oleflex unit with a capacity of 510 kmta.

Sinopec’s first batch of melt-blown fabric had been used
for making masks at a factory on March 9.

6 new melt-blown fabric production lines,
total up to 16 for making protective masks..
Sinopec is to add 6 new melt-blown fabric production lines
for protective mask materials in addition to 10 ones
that it originally planned to set up,
the company announced on March 10.
The six production lines will be built by
Sinopec Yanshan Petrochemical Company and
Sinopec Yizheng Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd,
expected to be put into operation at the end of May.
Sinopec has been accelerating work in
the production of melt-blown nonwoven fabric
to help the anti-epidemic fight,
with daily production capacity of fabric
to reach 30 tonnes
upon the completion of the production lines.
Facing the shortage of masks, Sinopec decided on Feb. 24
to set up a total of 10 melt-blown nonwoven
fabric production lines to help make masks.
Two production lines of melt-blown nonwoven fabric
have been set up and put into operation
in Beijing on March 6, according to
Sinopec Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical Co., Ltd.
Sinopec is expected to manufacture 18 tonnes
of fabric that can be made into
3.6 million N95 respirators or
18 million surgical masks every day by mid-April.

Sinopec cooperates with Naton Medical Group
To deal with the shortage of face masks,
Sinopec has cooperated with Chinese enterprise
the former providing mask making machines,
medical equipment, qualification and clean workshops.
So far, Sinopec has made available
a total of 11.7 tons of materials
with 10 mask making machines being put into production.
Up-to-standard masks had already been supplied
to residents in Beijing. With more machines
the increasing production capacity,
the daily production is expected to reach 1 million pieces

With 14,400-ton annual capacity, the Yanshan facility has
two non-woven production lines and
three spun-bond production lines,
which can produce 4 tons of melt-blown fabric
or 6 tons of fabric for 6 million surgical masks per day..
Sinomach’s China Hi-Tech Group Corporation,
the melt-blown fabric production line at Yanshan factory,
with eight more under construction in Jiangsu province,
expected to be put into operation in the middle of April..

Sinopec supplied 98,000 metric tons
of medical materials in February
98,000 metric tons of medical materials
including polypropylene for masks in February,
with an increase of 33,000 metric tons
or up by 50.8 percent from January.
Sinopec promises not to raise prices of medical materials
during the novel coronavirus outbreak.
The price of medical grade polypropylene
remained below 7,000 yuan per metric ton
in February, obviously lower than last month..

to form Chinese joint venture.
